Summer 2017 Newsletter

Summer is almost here and there are many signs that the real estate market here is Central Virginia is improving - the economy and jobs numbers continue to improve locally, interest rates remain at near-historic lows, housing values are finally moving upward and for many 2017 will be the year to finally buy a new home or sell their existing property.  Inventory of available homes remains extremely low and homes are selling in far less time than we have seen in many years - Multiple offers are commonplace. If you have a home and are thinking of selling or if you have been waiting for the right time to purchase a new home give us a call and put us to work for you!

The most recent quarter here in Central Virginia showed improvement in sales over the same period last year and home prices really are moving up.  The number of foreclosures and short sales are declining.  This is a very good sign. Interest rates are still very low and 2017 may be the best year ever to buy a new home for many people - especially first-time Home Buyers who have been holding out waiting for the perfect time to buy.  Time may be running out on these low interest rates and prices are certain to increase; so don't miss out - call us today to find out if now is the right time for you to sell or purchase real estate.
First-time homebuyers  still represent the largest group of Home Buyers today and this trend will likely continue for the foreseeable future.  Many "first-timers" are surprised to learn that inventory of pre-owned homes is currently very low and finding the right home is becoming more difficult every day.  Many are confused about how to best go about buying a new home and whether or not they can afford to do so.  Many of  our first-timers ask for our advice to help them compare properties, location, get estimates on repairs etc. to help guide them through the process.  All things considered, our "first-timers" simply want the confidence to know they are making a well-informed decision.  Put our knowledge and expertise to work today to provide you with clear answers that will help you make the best decision.

It really is a great time to buy real estate with interest rates at historical lows and home values at the lowest prices in over a decade.

Many of our clients tell us they would like to move up to a nicer home or they would  like to downsize to a smaller home but are unsure whether or not it makes financial sense at this time to even consider such a move.
